Old Age

Inspired by a grumpy grandpa, I decided to age someone through the use of makeup and slight costuming.

I chose a male model that was 21 years of age and began by cleaning the face.

Then, I contoured his natural bone structure and created the illusion of skin blemishes as well as wrinkles.

Lastly, I temporarily colored the hair and added costume items.

Bearded Lady

I wanted to create a beard from scratch using crepe wool for the character of a bearded lady.

I decided to use myself as a model.

As a part of my process, I began by purchasing three different colors of crepe wool: brown, auburn, and white.

Next, I bought a red hair dye similar to my hair color and created a small dye bath (50% water and 50% hair dye) and dyed the white hair.

Once I had the desired red, I took all 3 colors and made two small braids tied with bows. I was able to attach the braids and the remaining hairs to my face using spirit gum.

Zombie Bite

I wanted to create the look of someone who was just bitten by a zombie.

I used my friend as a model.

I designed a zombie bite out of clay and used it to create a silicone mold.

Using this mold, I created my prosthetic.

I attached my prosthetic to my model and painted it with makeup to make it look realistic. I also painted the skin around the prosthetic as well as add fake blood.

Burn Victim

IMG_6085.jpeg

To create the look of a burn victim, I used liquid latex and cotton balls to build up a mass on our actor's face.

Once it dried, I painted over the latex using a variety of colors to create the illusion of burned skin while adding small amounts of fake blood to achieve a glossy finish.
